About us
Our mission
At Your Last Letter, our mission is simple: to give you peace of mind. Life is unpredictable, and while we can’t control what happens, we can make sure our loved ones receive the words, memories, and practical information that truly matter.
By combining security, privacy, and trust, we’ve built a platform that makes it easy to prepare messages, check in regularly, and know everything will be taken care of – without worry.
Why we started
Like many ideas, Your Last Letter grew out of a personal need.
For years, I was searching for a safe and flexible way to pass on my personal “digital world” – things like my computer setup, passwords that change often, and the small but important details of my hobbies – to my partner Susan and close friends.
A will covers the official side of things, but it doesn’t handle the everyday, ever-changing details of modern life. I wanted something more dynamic.
And then I became a father. Parenthood made me realize just how valuable it would be to leave behind not only practical instructions, but also memories, stories, and life lessons for my child to receive later in life. That’s when the idea of Your Last Letter really came to life.

Our values
Who we are
Your Last Letter is founded by Martijn & run by a small team of creators, designers, and developers – led from the Netherlands. While the project started with me, it has grown with the help of collaborators who believe in building something trustworthy and long-lasting.
Being based in the Netherlands also means your data benefits from strict European privacy laws. Everything is hosted and protected within the EU.
Built for the long term
We know that peace of mind only works if the platform is here for the future. That’s why Your Last Letter is a registered business (KVK 77041755, BTW/VAT NL003151916B91) and is built on solid, sustainable foundations.
No “free for now, gone tomorrow” approach – but a reliable service you can truly count on.

Don’t wait until “someday.” Setting up your first message takes just a few minutes – and then it’s taken care of.
