How does it work?

Message delivery

Once the system assumes you’ve passed away, your messages are prepared for delivery.

Everything happens with privacy, respect, and care –  just as you intended.

Changing your plan.

Your current plan is changed to our  special ‘Past Away’ plan. This ensures your account stays active. The Past Away plan is free of charge, so no unexpected costs or subscription for your loved ones to deal with. 

Delivery begins

Each message follows the delivery timing you have set: immediately or after a chosen period (e.g. 1 week after). 

Recipients receive an email directly from Your Last Letter, containing your message and attachments.

Staying in control

If you missed a check-in or were incorrectly marked as deceased, don’t worry – you can log in anytime and confirm that you’re still alive.

Any future deliveries are stopped immediately. Messages that have already been sent can’t be recalled, but you can send a follow-up email to those recipients explaining what happened.
